DISNEYLAND

Well, since I have pretty much missed blogging the first year of Runes life, I've made a goal to take more pictures of my boys, and be better about blogging our lives. starting now.
We decided to take Ollie to Disneyland for his 4th birthday, and we had a great time!

it was a LOOOOOOONG drive for everyone, but they were good for the most part!

pit stop in Vegas to see the pirate ship

Waiting for the Disneyland shuttle

Rune had hives all over his body for the entire trip - poor guy

first ride of the day

Luigi's tire ride

Toy Story ride at California Adveture

The next day was Ollie's actual birthday,he woke up to a bed full of balloons and couldn't have been happier. Best $1 I have ever spent.

all he wanted for his birthday (from Disney) was a Peter Pan hat, and of course - Disney has discontinued those hats until they can come up with a new design that fits in their machines to embroider names. LAME.
so a giant birthday button, with a million smaller buttons seemed to do the trick.

the only thing that made Disneyland even better for Ollie was the fact that the whole place was decorated for Halloween. I've never met someone ( besides Ashleigh Hansen) who loves Halloween as much as Oliver.

Rune had such an opinion about what he did and didn't want to ride.
we took him on Pirates of the Caribbean and he HATED it, He used my hands to cover his eyes the entire time :( so this is a pictures of Rune happy to be waiting outside the ride while Rob and Ollie rode it again.

All he wanted to do was ride the merry-go-rounds

Rob talked Ollie into riding Thunder Mountain..... not our best plan.
when they got off I said, " Ollie I'm so proud of you! you did it!!!" and he said, " I'm not brave mom, that was too scary!" haha

Ollie drove the car on the Autopia ride

" Look mom! an Ollie sized door!!"

The Mad Hatter took Ollie by the hand and walked with him for a second, Even though Ollie had no clue who he was- he was in heaven!

Everyone paid special attention to the birthday boy

awkward, tired, family photo at the end of our second day.
(thanks for taking it Bri!)

Tired Ollie, he passed out before we even got on the shuttle to head back to our hotel.

we did SO many other things at Disneyland that we didn't get pictures of- I wish I would have been better at documenting everything.

The last day, we took the boys to the beach. We couldn't have picked a more perfect beach day. There was hardly anyone there, the weather was perfect, and we were in heaven.
I honestly believe the ocean is good for your soul....

We finished our trip with lunch at Ruby's on the pier.
It was absolute perfection.... until I found a spider in the bottom of my drink. awesome.

I love my family, and I am so grateful we got to go on a vacation together!
(p.s. we got Ollie a Peter Pan hat for $5 at Partyland when we got home- haha much cheaper than Disneyland)
